Our parish has recently purchased a subscription to an online resource called Formed that is designed to help Catholics grow in their faith at all levels – what we know, how we pray, and how we live. To learn more about Formed watch this video.

We're having a parish-wide Lenten Learn using one of the video programs found at Formed.org called Symbolon: The Catholic Faith Explained. It goes through our basic Catholic beliefs as found in the creed. Each week will feature an episode that will answer questions such as:
  • Why did God make us?
  • Why did God send Jesus to die for our sins? Couldn't He have just forgiven us?
  • Why are Catholic Bibles different than Protestant Bibles?
  • Why do Catholics give so much attention to Mary and the saints?
  • What happens when we die?
  • Why do we need the Church? Can't we find our own path to God?

So, how can you participate in this Lenten Learn?
Each week you can log on to the website, watch the designated video, and then talk about it with your family and friends. Or, you can gather with other parishioners weekly at church to watch and discuss the video beginning the week of March 8.

We hope you'll join us on this journey of discovery and celebration of our Catholic faith.
