First Communion preparation takes place during four family sessions held monthly from January through April. Children attend these sessions with their parent(s) or another responsible adult. The preparation sessions are primarily parent-led and include group activities and adult faith formation components.
First Communion is celebrated in late April or early May. In order to celebrate their first Communion, children need to attend Mass and participate regularly in the weekly faith formation program, attend all the sacramental preparation sessions, and have previously celebrated the sacraments of baptism and reconciliation.
